2012 London Olympic Aquatic
Centre

Arrow Detailing are proud to have taken part in the
construction of the 2012 Olympics Aquatic Centre.
The Aquatics Centre will have a
capacity of 17,500 during the Games, providing two 50m
swimming pools and a diving pool, facilities that London
does not have at present.
The sweeping roof is a 2800Te steel
structure with a standing seam aluminium sheet designed by
award winning architect
Zaha Hadid & engineered by
Ove Arup. It is made up
of long span fan trusses which cantilever approx 32m past
the supports and are approximately 11.5m deep at their
largest point. Two arches either side of the roof help to
create the roofs undulating shape
